Content Distribution Executive from Ovation and The Weather Channel
Joins TVGN as it Gears Up to Rebrand as POP in Early 2015
LOS ANGELES, CALIF. Oct. 16, 2014 Pam Bertino has been appointed to Senior Vice President, Content Distribution of TVGN, which will rebrand as POP in early 2015. In this newly created position, Bertino will lead affiliate sales and marketing, while overseeing the network's content distribution team based in Los Angeles and New York. Her appointment is effective immediately, and she will report to David Wisnia, President, Business Operations, TVGN.
Pam is a seasoned sales executive with significant experience negotiating multi-platform content distribution agreements, said Wisnia. Her leadership, combined with the affiliate sales and marketing team we've built over the past year, is a great addition to the network as we prepare to launch POP in early 2015.
Bertino added, Im very excited to be joining TVGN at such a pivotal point in the networks brand evolution. The rebrand from TVGN to POP and a new slate of programming are just what our audience has been waiting for, and Im happy to be a part of the team launching POP.
Most recently, Bertino served as Senior Vice President of Content Distribution at Ovation in Los Angeles. During her recent tenure, Bertino led all of the content distribution efforts for all associated products for cross-platform distribution including linear digital and HD networks, on-demand, TV everywhere, and international distribution to cable, satellite operators and digital distributors. In addition, she negotiated all affiliation agreements and ancillary product agreements, as well as developed and implemented the sales strategy for the linear analog and digital networks.
Prior to Ovation, Bertino served 15 years at The Weather Channel (TWC), most recently as Vice President, Distribution. Her responsibilities at TWC included negotiating cross-platform distribution agreements with top 10 cable and satellite operators for linear analog and digital networks, HD, interactive products, on-demand products, internet and mobile, and other related products. She also managed TWC's affiliate sales teams in Atlanta and Los Angeles.
Previously, Bertino held Vice President and General Management positions at The Weather Channel and was VP/GM of TWCs Weatherscan network, a 24 hour all local weather network. Earlier in her career, she served as Vice President, Residential Sales at Digital Music Express Inc.
Bertino earned her B.A. from California State University, Fullerton.
