30th July - This summer Sky Kids is offering families all new ways to get creative with two exclusive new original shows, Best Makes Ever! and Ultimate Video Skills joining its line-up of fun-filled family entertainment.
Hosted by influencer and presenter Luke Franks, Ultimate Video Skills is a series of 5-minute shows that teach kids aged 8-12 how to make cool video clips on their phones or tablets. In each episode Luke will be joined by a guest creator, who will bring to life a new camera trick that kids can try at home - from changing your clothes in a split second to hula-hooping at the speed of light and pouring drinks out of thin air.
Meanwhile families can watch and craft along to Best Makes Ever! a twenty-episode series with easy to follow creations from award-winning Red Ted Art blogger Maggy Woodley and founder of Arty Crafty Kids Helen Drew. From pop-up lions to llama marionettes, the whole family can get crafting using everyday accessible materials in this series filled with playful yet simple creations.
Both Ultimate Video Skills from Zodiak Kids and Best Makes Ever! from Red Ted Art and Arty Crafty Kids were commissioned exclusively for Sky Kids by Sky Director of Kids Content, Lucy Murphy.
Commenting on the new additions Lucy said: After months of home-schooling we know that finding fresh ways to have fun as a family is more important than ever! We're delighted to be boosting our summer line-up with shows that will help kids unlock their creativity and take on new challenges.
Ultimate Video Skills and Best Makes Ever! will join a huge range of family friendly entertainment available on Sky Kids. Other crafty highlights for this summer include Let's Create from Boomerang, Mister Maker Comes to Town and Handy Bean, not to mention brand new animated shows from LEGO, including Season 2 of LEGO: Ninjago Secret of the Forbidden Spinjitzu and LEGO Marvel Spider-Man: Vexed by Venom, all available this August.
