Beginning with a look at its advanced features that venture worlds beyond the capabilities of other matchmoving applications, Daryl Shail will discuss why conventional approaches to tracking need to evolve, and what The Pixel Farm is doing behind the scenes to push the boundaries of scene layout even further in the near future.
Real World 3D: PFDepth's Camera-based Dimensionalization & Stereoscopic Workflow
Demonstrating how The Pixel Farm's core tracking technology brings direct advantages to the dimensionalization and stereoscopic filmmaking markets. Using PFDepth's unique, real world camera-based workflow, various techniques for creating incredibly detailed per-pixel depth maps for use in deep compositing and dimensionalization will be demonstrated. The session will conclude with a look at new tools for 2014 that push the boundaries of real-world camera models within the stereoscopic filmmaking arena.
