It has come to light that Big Nuz member Mandla Maphumulo, popularly known as Mampitsha has passed away.

WHAT HAPPENED TO BIG NUZ MEMBER MAMPINSTHA Mampintsha, who was the poster child of the Kwaito group Big Nuz, passes away after suffering a minor stroke last week.

AFROTAINMENT RELEASES A STATEMENT After growing concerns about Mampitsha's health, Afrotainment owned by DJ Tira released a statement confirming Mampitsha's admission to the hospital.

The statement read:

This statement serves as a notification to the Public Media, Promoters and Big Nuz fans about businessman and artist, Mandla Maphumulo.

The star as he is affectionately known as Mampitsha from multi-award-winning group Big Nuz has suffered a minor stroke a week ago upon his return from a performance with Big Nuz. He is currently in hospital receiving medical attention and is under doctor's observation.

The family asks that the public and media respect their privacy during this difficult time.

We ask that you keep him in your prayers. Afrotainment wishes him a speedy recovery and we cannot wait for him to rock the stage again.

CONFIRMATION NOT OUT YET FROM MANAGEMENT However, an updated statement about his untimely passing is yet to be released by Afrotainment or his family. Meanwhile, tributes have started pouring in from fans and celebrities in the entertainment circles.

Big Nuz has been back to the top after releasing an album titled R Mashesha, which was a tribute to the late member of the group. Their popular hit single Ngeke is currently in the race for Song of the Year 2022.
