Futuristic scandinavian series - national premiere in telekom's interactive tv offering

The series titled Real Humans - The New Generation will be exclusively premiered in AXN NOW offered by Telekom's Interactive TV Videotheque (VoD).

As market leader, Magyar Telekom strives for offering the most perfect service to its customers. On the token of this, the company also continuously expands the assortment offered by the Videotheque (VoD) included in the interactive TV services. As a real speciality, from May 2 - in cooperation with Sony Pictures Television Networks (SPTN) Central Europe (operating the AXN channels) - the company offers exclusive content to film lovers: as a Hungarian premiere the series Real Humans - The New Generation was made available, exclusively in the assortment of AXN NOW within Telekom's Videotheque (VoD), being part of the Interactive TV services, preceding the May 28 Hungarian TV premiere.

The realistically futuristic Scandinavian series was well received abroad, the 2012 premiere in Sweden was very much welcome by the press: problems introduced in the series captured the public for weeks, additionally the Swedish Language Council entered the word hubot used for artificial humanoids pictured in the film in the list of official Swedish words.

Real Humans - The New Generation raises basic issues like interpersonal relations, identity and ethics. All these are introduced in a world where hubots are no more than commodity, which we can adore, hate or crave for. In this universe almost all people have a mechanised servant, a hubot.

Until early July the series introduces new episodes every week in the program assortment of AXN NOW, the whole series remains available until end of July in Telekom's Interactive TV Videotheque, under the Film Fans menu item.

The latest VoD service of AXN NOW and SPTN CE enables real film fans to watch films and series before the TV premiere. Users of the service can watch brand new American series, first class European TV productions, and a wide variety of programs (sci-fi, crime, reality, anime, etc.) - they can watch the chosen shows at their leisure, even several times.

The Telekom Interactive TV Videotheque offers the latest movie films even simultaneously with the DVD launch, or directly after that - more than 100,000 transactions are initiated each month, underlining that an ever increasing number of households discover possibilities inherent in interactive TV, testing the advantages offered by digital film rental at home.
