Munich, November 6, 2019. They stand for excellent programming and like to jolt people out of their everyday thought patterns. And they are among the most creative fiction producers in Germany: producer, director, writer and actor Christian Ulmen and producer Carsten Kelber. Together with these two creators, ProSiebenSat.1 TV Deutschland is now establishing the Berlin-based production company Pyjama Pictures and thereby further enhancing its expertise in content production in Germany.

As the first Pyjama Pictures project, this new creative set-up will produce the fourth season of the hit series jerks. in 2020 for the streaming platform Joyn and subsequent free-TV broadcasting on ProSieben. In addition, Pyjama Pictures will produce content for all ProSiebenSat.1 platforms - both linear and digital - as well as for external partners. Its focus will be on German-language and local content. There are already several ideas and developments in the pipeline.

Christian Ulmen: We love each other. Carsten Kelber, the company and me. We will give the German series lots of new children - both well-behaved kids and naughty little brats. It's going to be loud.

Carsten Kelber: Christian and I met each other through Jerks.' and can hardly wait to intensify this collaboration and expand into other genres. We are eagerly looking forward to more great projects and are already enjoying creative exchanges with our shareholder's channels, as well as with external partners and platforms.

jerks. raises the bar: The series starring Christian Ulmen and Fahri Yardim has won the German Comedy Award three times in a row and 2019 the German TV Award.
