NANA Management Services Selects HP to Deliver Next Generation SecurityReal-time video surveillance service leverages HP IDOL to enhance flagship security solution
Palo Alto, Calif., Oct. 27, 2014 HP today announced that NANA Management Services will use HP big data analytics software to augment its real-time video surveillance solution.
NANA Management Services (NMS) (@nmsusa) provides security services that tailor to companies of all sizes and technological capabilities. The company's Virtual Guard Services uses an integrated approach where real-time video surveillance and highly advanced computer analytics work together to instantly identify a potential threat. From industrial facilities, banks and college campuses to health care facilities and parking structures, Virtual Guard Services provides the most proactive security where safety is mission-critical.
NMS will combine HP IDOL software with NMS Virtual Guard Services to provide clients with comprehensive intelligence and optimized workflows for faster and more effective alerts and responses. By harnessing HP IDOL, an advanced information analytics platform that can understand, analyze and interpret video, audio and text from virtually any source, organizations can connect the dots to uncover suspicious patterns, threatening trends and inter-event relationships

This next generation of HP IDOL based Virtual Guard Services will help NMS clients achieve the ideal middle ground between oversight and false alarms. The integration with HP IDOL provides NMS customers with a strong set of pre-integrated surveillance capabilities such as automatic number plate recognition, vehicle make/model recognition, face recognition and intelligence scene analysis. Collectively, these capabilities usher in a new era of holistic situation awareness to counter existing and emerging threats that are growing in frequency and diversity.
Traditional labor intensive and error-prone threat detection methods are continually falling short, lacking advanced analytical capabilities to address the challenges of modern day security threats, said David Humphrey, CTO Video, Big Data, HP. This strategic partnership will provide security professionals the necessary tools to more efficiently and effectively manage and mitigate security risks.
