Over 350,000 streams on RT Player
Yesterday's All Ireland Senior Football Championship Final in Croke Park which saw Armagh seal their second ever All Ireland Senior Football title was watched by an average of 889,000 on The Sunday Game Live on RT 2, peaking at 1,085,400 as the game reached its thrilling conclusion.
The RT 2 audience represented a share of 76% of those watching TV at the time. There were 356,416 streams on RT Player, up from 184,987 streams for last year's Football decider.
Last night's highlights and review of the Football year with Jacqui Hurley and guests on The Sunday Game on RT One drew an average audience of 191,000 to with a share of 21%. Meanwhile, Saturday night on RT One saw an average of 294,000 watch Up For the Match with Jacqui and Des Cahill.
Commenting on yesterday's figures, RT Group Head of Sport, Declan McBennett, said As live sport dominates our screens the draw of the All Ireland finals remain constant. A wonderful day for Armagh Gaels and an enthralling final which made life long memories for those from the Orchard county.
The live sporting action continues this week with comprehensive coverage of the Paris Olympics 2024 across RT .
