Intinor will showcase several new developments to the Direkt platform at NAB 2026, including enhanced SRT monitoring, expanded HDR transport capabilities and support for NDI Advanced.

The latest software release introduces improvements designed to strengthen reliability, monitoring and interoperability in IP-based video contribution workflows used in professional production environments.

New functionality provides detailed real-time SRT statistics directly within the user interface. Operators can monitor metrics including packet loss, latency, round-trip time, buffer size, bitrate and data volume, giving clearer visibility into network conditions and simplifying troubleshooting in demanding live production scenarios.

Direkt systems now also support multiple SRT listeners per stream, allowing several receivers to connect simultaneously with individually configured settings. This simplifies distribution workflows and enables easier integration with third-party systems. An improved RTP over SRT implementation allows for SMPTE ST 2022-7 seamless protection switching, allowing receivers to automatically select the best packets from parallel streams.

The release also introduces support for HLG HDR metadata passthrough. Direkt systems preserve HDR signaling across the contribution chain, allowing HLG metadata to pass transparently from SDI input through MPEG-TS transport to SDI output. This enables reliable HDR contribution workflows while maintaining compatibility with existing broadcast infrastructure.

Support for NDI version 6.3 and NDI Advanced, further expands interoperability with NDI -based production environments. The update adds support for 10-bit input and output, improving color precision for modern production workflows, while a redesigned configuration interface simplifies the setup and management of NDI connections.

All configuration, monitoring and control is handled through Intinor Direkt Management (IDM), a web-based interface used to manage video workflows between multiple Direkt units, both locally and remotely. Designed for professional production environments, IDM provides centralized oversight of devices, streams and contribution links.

Most of the improvements in this release come directly from discussions with our users, said Daniel Lundstedt, Head of Sales and Marketing at Intinor. Our customers receive streams from many different encoders and networks, often over the public internet. Our focus is to make that simple and reliable, and with IDM we provide an easy way to receive, monitor and route those contribution streams into the broadcast infrastructure.

Intinor is also continuing development around SMPTE ST 2110, with early work focused on enabling IP contribution streams to integrate with 2110-based production infrastructures. The team looks forward to discussing these developments with customers and partners at NAB.
