Helico Aerospace Industries releases auto-follow drone --

Helico Aerospace Industries, a company which designs remote controlled unmanned aerial vehicle systems, has released a quad copter called AirDog which is designed for shooting video with a GoPro camera.
The company was able to produce the product due to the success of a Kickstarter campaign, which earned them US$200,000 in three days. Kickstarter is an online funding platform which allows members of the public to contribute money towards creative projects.
The drone is able to follow a subject fitted with a programmable remote, as well as their trajectory, while capturing footage with stable accuracy. This makes the quad copter a useful tool for filmmakers, outdoor enthusiasts and real estate photographers.
By receiving data from the remote and processing it with advanced algorithms, it is able to make autonomous take-offs and landings. It also has seven pre-set auto-follow flight modes which ensure a smooth experience while covering action sports. AirDog is capable of up to 15 minutes of flight time and can fly at speeds of 40 to 45 mph.
