Berlin, May 14, 2024: The hunt for the red suitcase continues! But its not just Kleo (Jella Haase) who is after the secret documents-the CIA and KGB are also suddenly looking for them. Not only is Kleo about to uncover more information as to why she was once sent to prison, shes also going to learn about her own past.

The first season of KLEO was a hit with critics and audiences worldwide. It went on to win many awards, including the Grimme-Preis in the Fiction category, two German Television Awards for Best Drama Series and Best Actress (Jella Haase), and a nomination for the Critics Choice Award in the United States.

The second season of KLEO celebrates its world premiere on June 6 at Seriencamp in Cologne. Actor Dimitrij Schaad, director Isabel Braak and showrunner/writer team HaRiBo (Hanno Hackfort, Richard Kropf and Bob Konrad) will attend the screening of the upcoming seasons first episode. It is produced by Michael Souvignier, Till Derenbach and J rg Engels from Zeitsprung Pictures and directed by Isabel Braak and Nina Vukovic, with scripts by HaRiBo and Katharina Brauer.

About KLEO Season 2

The hunt for the red suitcase continues: former East German spy Kleo is determined to get the red suitcase back and destroy it for good. Sven intends to do everything he can to redeem himself in Kleos eyes and work with her again. Its apparent that she gives him a bit of an adrenaline rush in his work as a police officer.

The red suitcases contents play a key role in the reorganization of Germany and Europe in the wake of the Cold War, so it's no wonder that the KGB and CIA are also after it. Both secret services target Kleo, whos at the center of all the action. But theres more: while Europe's future is in Kleo's hands, shes more intensely confronted with her own past than she would like.
