NEP SAM solutions based on production virtualized IP for Ziggo Sport NEP launches production facility cloud over IP that provides maximum flexibility to allocate resources for each project.

Ziggo Sport, a subsidiary of Liberty Media Group and head of sports rights in the Netherlands including the Premier League and Formula One, has chosen NEP The Netherlands for much of its live production.

For this project, NEP has deployed a production facility cloud over IP that provides maximum flexibility to allocate resources for each project. Starting eight control rooms connected over an IP network to a data center, NEP has chosen technology NEP to supply key elements of its flow live production: mixers production, replay system live and a solution for playback of content.

As a solution for repetitions, the chosen option is the new LiveTouch of SAM. The architecture is similar to that adopted for Kahuna and Kula as each control room has a LiveTouch control panel, connected to servers in the data center on IP. LiveTouch is capable of handling multiple resolutions, entries and publish on social media immediately.

Automation, NEP has adopted the system of SAM ICE Channel-in-a-Box and SAM Morpheus face to handle playback of the six channels Ziggo Sport in the new facility located in Hilversum Media Park.

A future-proof installation
