Motorola and Verizon are bringing the power of 5G to moto z2 force. Starting this week, the 5G moto mod will be compatible with the moto z2 force, along with further improvements to the 5G moto mod to enable better battery life and faster speeds across the entire moto z family.*
On April 3, 2019, the moto z3 with the 5G moto mod became the world's first commercially-available smartphone to connect to 5G when Verizon turned on its 5G Ultra Wideband network in Chicago and Minneapolis.* Since then, moto fans have enjoyed using the 5G moto mod on the new moto z4 in Denver, Providence, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Indianapolis, St. Paul, and Washington, D.C. as Verizon rolled out 5G in new cities.
No Turbocharger? No Worries.
We know battery life is a priority for 5G users, so we've updated the powering system on the 5G moto mod and moto z phones to allow one device to power the other. It's simple when the 5G moto modTM battery is low, the battery of the moto z will charge the 5G moto mod and vice versa.**

When it comes to speed, your 5G moto mod now delivers faster download speeds on Verizon's 5G network. With continuous improvements on both the Verizon network and 5G moto mod, z2 force users will be able to download high-definition videos and games in seconds.
Updates for both battery and download speed are available via software update on moto z2 force and moto z3 devices purchased from Verizon, and were automatically installed on the 5G moto mod. The new moto z4, now available through Verizon, has both of these optimizations already installed.
With more than 30 cities scheduled to receive Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband in 2019 and three Motorola smartphones compatible with the 5G moto mod, moto fans are at the forefront of next-generation connectivity.
