
The CCTV china opens way to the global distribution of news with Sony Hive La Televisi n Central de China aprovecha la potencia de la nube p blica y privada, adem s de una plataforma de contenidos unificada, para crear una red de colaboraci n global para sus periodistas.
En un mundo donde la l nea entre la televisi n lineal y la web es cada vez m s difusa, las cadenas de televisi n buscan constantemente nuevas formas de atraer y retener al p blico. Este enfoque innovador lo est implantando la Televisi n Central de China (CCTV). La cadena de televisi n p blica nacional con sede en Pek n emite 43 canales de televisi n, cinco de ellos internacionales en ingl s, franc s, espa ol, ruso y rabe. Con una amplia oferta de noticias, documentales, comedia, entretenimiento y telenovelas, cuenta con una audiencia de m s de mil millones de espectadores. Sus instalaciones se reparten en 31 oficinas regionales chinas, adem s de dos sucursales, cinco oficinas centrales y 63 oficinas regionales todas ellas en el extranjero.
La visi n vanguardista de CCTV para la producci n mundial de informativos ha sido la de crear una plataforma de colaboraci n a la que puedan acceder todos sus periodistas y oficinas, lo que permite al personal intercambiar libremente el contenido y acceder a las funciones de planificaci n y programaci n.
La adopci n eficaz de la nube privada y p blica es un motivo de peso para el xito de CCTV. Se trata de utilizar una plataforma completamente basada en software que beneficie a ambas estrategias, mientras se evitan sus limitaciones inherentes.
Liu Wanming, director t cnico de noticias en CCTV, destaca que la globalizaci n de las noticias requiere la entrega de una perspectiva global con una comprensi n local. Nuestro objetivo consiste en brindar acceso inmediato a contenidos de todas nuestras regiones, desde un amplio conjunto de herramientas creativas, para poner la localizaci n de estas historias a disposici n del p blico y sus dispositivos .
En asociaci n con el desarrollador Sobey para el sistema de su sede principal en Pek n, CCTV ha escogido Hive, la plataforma de contenidos unificada de Sony.
Mediante el uso de la tecnolog a de microservicios distribuidos como tel n de fondo y la elaboraci n de an lisis de operaciones a trav s de paneles personalizables como prioridad, Hive optimiza y controla las operaciones de la producci n de informativos en la actualidad.
API abiertas
Las API abiertas permiten la integraci n de numerosas herramientas de creaci n y creativas muy diversas en el sistema de Hive. Por primera vez, los periodistas de diferentes grupos y con distintas experiencias pueden acceder al mismo contenido, al mismo tiempo y usando sus herramientas para elaborar su propia historia y adaptarla a su audiencia o dispositivo concretos.
Cada periodista puede acceder a sus propias herramientas como edici n web, creaciones con WeChat, edici n profesional, un portal web para cualquier soporte, creaciones de im genes, creaciones para dispositivos m viles H5, redes sociales (Weibo/Twitter/Facebook/YouTube)
La nube privada funciona con eficacia como un centro de datos en las instalaciones, encargada de almacenar y gestionar metadatos, proxies y material en alta resoluci n para facilitar el intercambio de los contenidos y la producci n de nuevos medios. La nube p blica contiene copias duplicadas de todos los archivos, sincronizadas con la nube privada.
A trav s de los servicios de la nube p blica de China, los periodistas pueden acceder al material, manipular el contenido generado por los usuarios y producir nuevos materiales de forma local para su distribuci n en las redes sociales.
Offshore drafting
Independientemente de donde se encuentre el periodista, podr crear una Lista de decisiones de edici n (EDL) y crear un paquete de la historia completa utilizando el material recopilado desde cualquier parte del mundo. El trabajo inicial realizado en el terreno con proxies se publicar posteriormente en el sistema principal y se enlazar al material en alta resoluci n alojado de forma centralizada.
Shi Qiang, director de proyectos de CCTV, comenta que proporcionar el acceso m s sencillo al contenido, de manera segura, desde cualquier lugar literalmente, requiere una nica plataforma capaz de ejecutarse en entornos privados y p blicos nativos en la nube. Nuestra capacidad para reducir las tareas de ingenier a, integraci n, formaci n y los gastos de asistencia nicamente con esta arquitectura general, garantizando al mismo tiempo la escalabilidad y flexibilidad para decidir d nde colocar las plataformas y con qu socios colaborar, es absolutamente crucial para el xito de este proyecto .
La soluci n se est llevando a cabo en dos fases, aunque ya se han implementado los primeros elementos para su presentaci n en directo en febrero de 2017.
La fase 1 incluye la construcci n de la nueva sede de CCTV en China, que contar con las capacidades completas de la nube p blica y privada. Con ella, solo se podr gestionar inicialmente la producci n de nuevos medios, mientras que las noticias televisivas se producir n usando un sistema anterior.
Con la fase 2 se observar una mejora y la ampliaci n de la sede para abarcar la producci n de televisi n y la de nuevos medios al mismo tiempo. A lo largo de 2017 se actualizar el sistema en las regiones de Am rica y Europa.
Pese a las diferencias con el mercado chino, las cadenas europeas pueden aprender de la valiosa experiencia de CCTV. Y ahora Sony pone a disposici n de los clientes europeos exactamente la misma plataforma innovadora con el nombre de Media Backbone Hive.
