CINEMARK ANNOUNCES the OPENING OF the ALL-NEW, ALL-STADIUM SEATING, ALL-DIGITAL CINEMARK STROUD MALL EATRE IN the POCONOS, PA

Plano, TX, - Cinemark Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CNK), a leading motion picture exhibitor, will open a completely new 12-screen movie theatre featuring a Cinemark XD: Extreme Digital Cinema auditorium in Stroudsburg, PA on Friday, November 4, 2011. The all-new Cinemark Stroud Mall Theatre, located at 160 Stroud Mall, Stroudsburg, PA, will feature all-stadium seating, all-digital projection, 3D capabilities in six auditoriums and an XD: Extreme Digital Cinema auditorium with a wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling screen.

We are so pleased to be opening this all new state-of-the-art theatre for movie-lovers in the Poconos community, says James Meredith, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Cinemark USA, Inc. Our theatre is a newly constructed facility, not just a remodel of the previous theatre at the mall. We are extremely proud to offer all-stadium seating throughout our 12 digital auditoriums. Additionally, with the Cinemark XD screen and our six 3D capable auditoriums, well be able to bring our customers a variety of film titles and provide them with a choice in how they see Hollywoods latest cutting-edge films, like the highly-anticipated The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, Happy Feet Two and Tower Heist.

The new Cinemark XD Extreme Digital Cinema auditorium will offer a complete entertainment environment featuring a large, wall-to-wall and ceiling-to-floor screen, plush seating and a custom JBL sound system featuring crisp, clear digital sound. The digital images will be delivered by a Doremi server and a Barco digital projector. The XD auditorium will exhibit the newest movies every week, including 2D and RealD 3D pictures.

In addition to having digital projection, all 12 auditoriums will feature stadium seating, which allows customers to enjoy unobstructed views from plush, high-backed, rocker-style seats with flip-up cup holders. Other features this theatre will offer are online and kiosk ticketing, a concession stand providing freshly-popped popcorn, Coca-Cola fountain beverages and favorite candy brands.

Several grand opening activities and offers are planned, including radio station appearances throughout opening weekend. Other opening weekend highlights include the give away of Cinemark goody bags to the first 50 customers Friday and Saturday.
