JVC has launched two monitor ranges the DT-N Series of affordable studio monitors and the LM Series of monitors for video, data and security applications. Both ranges offer the high image quality required for critical monitoring applications.

DT-N Series studio monitors

There are three models in the series the DT-N17F, DT-N21F and DT-N24F, with 17.3, 21.5 and 23.8 panels respectively each supporting up to Cinema 2K 2048x1080p signal sources. The monitors provide high image quality and include professional features, such as waveform monitors, vector scope, histogram and 3G support, ideal for a wide range of broadcast, OB, production and post-production applications.

The monitors feature a 1920 1080 pixel full HD resolution LCD panel with LED backlighting, with wide viewing angle (horizontal and vertical) and 16.7M colour depth, and are compatible with ITU-709 standard colour space for HDTV broadcasting. They support 3G/HD/SD-SDI and 2K-SDI, including Level-A and Level- B, so are capable of transferring 1080p uncompressed digital video data at a maximum rate of 60fps at 3Gbit per second. 2K-SDI (2048x1080/24p) is also supported and down-samples to the full HD display.

The smallest monitor of the three, the DT-N17F, features a 19 rack mount, with a stand and V-mount battery holder for field work included on all three models. They are also easily upgradable via a USB port on the rear of the monitor, without requiring a computer.

LM Series video data monitors

JVC s LCD monitors, the LM-173B and LM-193B, are designed for video, data and security applications. They deliver an image with 1280x1024 pixel resolution, LED backlighting, 250 cd/m2 brightness, and 1000:1 contrast ratio. Also contributing to the monitors visibility are their ability to display 16.7 million colours, with a broad viewing angle of 85 /85 horizontally and 80 /80 vertically.

The LM Series monitors are equipped with a range of terminals for connecting to various sources including BNC video in/out, S-Video in, mini-DIN 4-pin x1, RGB In x1, and HDMI In x1. Built-in AC power with input power terminal on the back of the panel helps to make for clean cabling and easy handling. Lightweight in design, the monitors are framed with an slim bezel. They also feature built-in 0.5W x 0.5W speakers, making them an ideal replacement for existing CRT monitors in a variety of applications such as monitoring and control room usage.
