Multi-award winning Freq ncy Studios have relocated to the village of Saket in Northern India. Arriving late on Wednesday afternoon, founder Dave Harris, explains, India is enchanting. We had been discussing the relocation for a while as a team, it was only a matter of time before we moved here.

Situated in what some call the melting pot of the sub-continent, the team has seemed to settle in to Mehrauli, despite the extreme conditions. Everyone shouts, says Sound Engineer, Simon Malherbe, I guess you have to when competing with eighty-five thousand other people trying to shout louder than you. Guess it s a, have to hear it to believe it, kinda thing.

Recognized both at local and international award shows, the Freq ncy team boast world class audio productions spreading across commercials, full-length albums, films, music videos and documentaries. With the recently upgraded studios equipped to record both vocals and any instrument, the Freq ncy team pride themselves on always looking to broaden their horizons.

That s why we thought we d head to the hub of Asia, says Leeanne Aldred, Freq ncy Producer: This morning we found ourselves in the center of the world s biggest food fight. I m talking sixty thousand people all going for it tomatoes, bananas, paprika, watermelons it was intense. Then, the town s clock struck and everything went silent, people just stood still. We all looked at each other and thought, What now? That s when Shane Renew, one of our audio engineers, blurted out, STRAY DOGS. The next thing there must have been, like, a hundred and fifty stray dogs sprawling through the streets, people climbing up walls, fighting for food on the floor. In my twenty years in this business, I ve never heard anything quite like it.

Harris explains that from day one in March, 2000, Freq ncy studios set out to take people where they never thought possible. We ll do whatever it takes to get the right sound. Who knows how long we ll still be here, it could be 10, 20 25 minutes at least.
