What's new at IBC 2013 from ToolsOnAir ToolsOnAir celebrates their 5th anniversary this year. At IBC 2013, we'll be showing new versions of our revolutionary TV Station in a Mac solutions and demonstrating our top-notch products and features like pristine image quality, uncompressed realtime graphics, the ability to mix SD and HD, multiple aspect ratios as well as displaying long GOP and I-frame only codecs back-to-back in the same timeline. From our inception until today, we continue to provide the broadcast industry the best solutions available on the Apple Macintosh platform. Our innovation path continues; here's what you will find at the ToolsOnAir Booth 7.G45.

Announcing version 1.8 of just:live/just:play:

New features in version 1.8 include a rework of the software installer to further ease the installation process, a new log analyzer tool to inspect the generated log files in realtime, and the first level of integration with our new control and monitoring application just:control, which allows failover control when using redundant playout. The implementation of a new, advanced Spotlight-like help functionality offers full text search to help administrators find answers to their questions without having to exit the application, and the new Superuser client option enables simplified setup for users who may require connection to a channel via multiple machines. Another highlight is the new 8-bit playout mode, with support for publishing an H.264/AAC compressed RTMP stream directly to a Wowza or Adobe Media Server.

In order to increase the compliance with legal enforcements in the US with regard to Close Captioning, we added the ability to add CC-608 and CC-708 data to the final output with support for the .mcc format. Hardware Support has been extended to include the Blackmagic Design Ultra Studio Mini Monitor, Ultra Studio 4K and ATEM Production switchers as well as routers from EVERTZ supporting the Quartz protocol and the eBox from JLCooper. Additionally, version 1.8 of just:play introduces a separate Event track for router/GPI control elements, freeing one FX Layer for additional graphics templates and enables audio volume and aspect ratio changes while airing a clip.

Announcing version 1.7 of just:in multi with support for XDCAM HD, AVC-Intra and Adobe Panel Integration:

We took the already impressive feature set of just:in multi and added XDCAM EX, HD and HD 422 as well as AVC-Intra 50/100 to the list of supported codecs. In addition to that we'll be showing our first Adobe Premiere Pro CC panel integration, featuring crash and gang recording as well as growing file support for both MOV and MXF containers. Also new is the implementation of multiple recording destinations, improved support for proxy creation and full compatibility with AJA's Io XT for 2-channel ingest setups.

To complete our TV Station in a Mac workflow concept, we will demonstrate our professional multi-camera post-production tool live:cut with support for Adobe Premiere Pro CC and Final Cut Pro 7/X; our just:news solution aimed at OCTOPUS and AP ENPS customers with full MOS support; our new broadcast workflow design tool just:control with full support for the AJA KUMO router; and, last but not least, our MAM workflow integration with Cantemo Portal, PRISMAHUB and axle solutions.
