Shaping the Future of Media and Entertainment, The Young Entertainment Professionals

The Hollywood Professional Association's (HPA) Young Entertainment Professionals (YEP) program offers a unique opportunity for early-career professionals to become part of a community that fosters growth, mentorship, and meaningful connections within media and entertainment.

The YEP program is more than just a platform for learning-it's a space where fresh ideas are nurtured, and where individuals are encouraged to take an active role in shaping the industry's future. Through participation in the YEP program, professionals have the chance to join discussions that matter, contribute to projects that push boundaries, and connect with peers and leaders who are defining the next chapter of media and entertainment.

The YEP program is designed for individuals who are early in their media and entertainment careers, no matter the role-whether you're working in production, post-production, technology, or creative management. It's open to anyone over 18 who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a dynamic and evolving industry.

Building a Foundation

Becoming a YEP is about more than just adding a line to your r sum . It's about building a foundation for long-term success in the media and entertainment industry. Through mentorship from seasoned professionals, you'll gain valuable insights and guidance to help you navigate your career path with confidence. The program opens doors to some of the industry's most forward-thinking events, such as the HPA Tech Retreat, providing you with opportunities to engage with the latest trends, ideas, and leaders in the field.

But perhaps most importantly, you'll join a vibrant community of peers who share your passion for shaping the future of media and entertainment. The connections and relationships you build through YEP are designed to last, supporting not only your immediate career goals but also helping to create a network that will evolve with you throughout your professional journey. And as a YEP, you'll be invited to contribute your own ideas and perspectives to the broader conversation about where the industry is headed, helping to shape the future while developing your own path forward.

How to Apply

Applications for the 2025 YEP class are open until November 1, 2024. A straightforward application process, along with a recommendation from an employer or supervisor, is all it takes to be considered. Finalists will be contacted for virtual interviews in mid-November, with the class announcement to follow in December.
