Grass Valley Helps Customers Navigate Industry Transformation at 2015 NAB Show

MONTREAL, April 12, 2015 For more than half a century, Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, has been leading customers through the changes that mark the evolutionary cycles of the broadcast industry. This year, at the 2015 NAB Show, Grass Valley will demonstrate its latest advances in 4K production workflows for better storytelling, replay solutions for more flexible coverage of live events, and IP-based infrastructure for more robust file management and transfer, along with cloud technologies for improved operational efficiency and much more.

These new advancements will help customers to effectively acquire and distribute high-quality content with products designed to grow with their business. Grass Valley will be exhibiting in booth SL206.

4K Production The 2015 NAB Show marks the formal debut of Grass Valleys LDX 4K/extreme-speed HD camera, the LDX 86 Universe, in tandem with the K2 Dyno Universe the industrys first mainstream 4K/6X HD switchable capture and replay system, along with a full range of 4K-capable products.

Glass-to-Glass IP Also for the first time, Grass Valley will showcase GV Convergent SDN (software-defined networks), the nonproprietary SDN solution for managing an IP network, and Grass Valleys Glass-to-Glass approach to IP that spans the workflow chain of cameras, routers, servers, signal processing, production switchers and multiviewers.

Playout Grass Valley is introducing the latest update to its leading integrated playout platform. iTX 2.6, with an all new broadcast engine, delivers simulcast for greater scalability and enhanced automation of ingest for streamlined workflows while lowering the cost of running television channels. This will ensure customers are Future Ready with both IP playout and 4K capabilities. iTX 2.6 will be demonstrated at the show along with a preview of iTX 4K/IP/VM.

Live demonstrations of all the Grass Valley solutions give attendees the opportunity to evaluate performance in real-world situations and ask specific questions related to their own applications. And tying the broadcast hardware and software together in the booth is an extensive array of cabling and connecting solutions from Belden Inc.

Grass Valley Presentations Experts from Grass Valley and Belden Inc. are speaking in five Broadcast Engineering Conference (BEC) sessions at NAB, focusing on IP workflow, IT infrastructure, 4K and how new technologies impact business models.
