Independant Films Royalty Administrator

This position involves the management, analysis, reporting and sign-off on royalties relating to all of the Independent Film Division's acquired content, through the content's entire life cycle / distribution windows.

Adhere to contractual obligations and deadlines related to royalty reporting, and payments.

Royalty management, including analysis, forecasting and reporting for receipts and payments.

Successfully manage all royalty related aspects throughout the content license periods, which includes the sales, distribution and royalty analysis functions amongst others.

Verify and approve all royalty receipts and payments related to the Independent Film Division's inventory.

Ensure accurate reporting and communication for every film in each distribution window.

Managing all finance related aspects specific to 3rd party service providers.

Assist the Business Analyst in managing the Independent Film Division's budget (trail balance, balance sheets and cashflow statements).

Provide Finance with all related cost centre reallocation and related financial information.

Support the Business Analyst in the management of all internal and external auditing processes related to the Independent Film Division.

Ensure accurate, complete and transparent reporting amongst all stakeholders as contractually agreed (3rd party distributors, sub-licensees, local and international studios/production houses).

Accurate monthly and quarterly reporting, including presentations as and when required by business.

Education & Experience

B Com Accounting

Relevant accounting experience

MS Excel Advanced

Extensive knowledge and experience of the international and local film industry business.

Knowledge of film lifecycles and distribution windows/platforms.

Working knowledge of Synergy an advantage

Knowledge of and passion for movies.

An ability to identify critical success factors of films in various stages of production.

Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken)

Meticulous / attention to detail
