The year 2014 marks 20 years of democracy in South Africa and is the first year in which some of the country s youth, which were born after apartheid ended, were able to vote. In light of this, director Ryan Isted of Velocity Uprising, an initiative which draws on the talent of young storytellers and entertainment innovators, created a film encouraging this generation to vote in the national elections.

The film conveys a powerful message: every vote counts, and makes mention of some of the issues South Africans are facing in the new South Africa.

Election Day took place in South Africa on 7 May, and only one in three voters aged between 18 and 19 years old were registered to vote.
