Pnger flow at Ningbo Airport hits new record

The Spring Festival holiday has become a good time for vacation. From February 9 (the second day of the first lunar month), the Ningbo citizens have started their vacation holidays. On February 10, the Ningbo Airport organized 89 outbound flights and 96 inbound flights, and the passenger flow reached 24,500 people. "The second and sixth days of the first lunar month are the passenger flow peaks and the third day also has a high passenger flow." said a related person from the Market Department of Lishe Airport. On February 9, the airport witnessed 197 flights (including 101 outbound ones), and the passenger flow reached about 26,000 people, about 8000 more than on the very day before the Spring Festival, up by 15% over the same period of last year. The number of flights and the passenger flow both hit a historical new high.

Reportedly, among all the passengers, about 80% are going for their vacations, both in the form of package tour and self-guided tour. In terms of the tickets, the flights to such tourist resort cities as Sanya, Haikou, Xian and Hong Kong are almost fully booked. Especially to such warm places as Sanya and Haikou, the tickets are not available on the very day without beforehand booking. However, tickets to such big cities as Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen are in abundance and there are still some discounts. Besides, with the growth of the returning passengers from Chengdu, Chongqing and Changsha, its quite hard to get the related tickets. For the convenience of the passengers, the airport opened the special counter for the tourist groups to guarantee the timely and fast boarding of the passengers. In addition, according to the security check requirements, the passengers are not allowed to put their lithium-ion batteries (for cameras or laptops), lighters, matches or items containing magnets in the checked baggage. The liquid items are also banded in the carry-on luggage. Some portable cosmetics (with the volume of less than 100ml) are allowed, but they must be put in some separate bags for check.
