Market leading Kahuna and Kula multi-format production switchers
At BroadcastAsia 2017(Stand: #6M2-01), Snell Advanced Media (SAM) will reinforce its market leading position, demonstrating 4K and 12G-SDI support across a range of products including its Kula and Kahuna production switcher range. Stephen Wong, SVP of Sales, SAM commented, SAM continues to push the boundaries with 4K, IP, 12G-SDI and software defined solutions as is reflected across our product range. We are committed to delivering riskless and future-ready technology that is both flexible and agile, so it can meet our customers' business and operational needs today, but also adapt to their future requirements. This is what we will be underlining at BroadcastAsia.
Market leading multi-format production switchers
SAM's market leading range of Kahuna and Kula multi-format production switchers will be on show at BroadcastAsia. Kula (available as 1, 2 and 3 M/E versions) easily handles multiple formats making it both future-proof and adaptable for today's production environment. A wide choice of control panels (up to 24 crosspoint) and access to up to 42 inputs makes operations easy, giving users more time to work on other elements within the live production environment. Supporting higher resolutions, a 12G-SDI mainframe is now available for the Kula switcher. Kahuna remains SAM's flagship medium to large production switcher with a rich set of features. Kahuna consistently raises the bar for multi-format operations, supporting any combination of SD, HD, 1080p (level A & B), 12G-SDI and Quad SDI for UHD signals, eliminating the need for external conversion.
Next-generation routing and processing
The Vega suite of routers deliver unbeatable functionality at price points that suit a range of budgets. Being shown at BroadcastAsia are the 700, 200, 30 versions that are ideal for small to mid-sized applications and simple to configure and easy to install. The Vega 30 router is ideal for small fixed applications, such as small outside broadcast trucks and studios. It combines powerful video and audio routing capability in a 3RU mainframe with built in signal processing. Simple configuration and set up and clean and quiet switching options makes the Vega 30 ideal for applications where smooth transitions, de-embedding and embedding and full MADI audio routing are key.
The world's most trusted playout and asset management solutions
SAM's ICE channel-in-a-box solution and Momentum workflow and asset management technology will be on show at BroadcastAsia. ICE incorporates all the operational, technical, regulatory and commercial functionality required for broadcast playout. It delivers all the tools needed to manage playout operations, whether single channel, multi-channel, multi-region or multi-platform environments. For added flexibility and ease to launch new services, ICE SDC delivers a pure software implementation with all the capability and features needed for a broadcast environment. The complete media resource, Momentum delivers intelligent, flexible automation and control of every stage of the media chain, from ingest to cataloguing, QC and editing through transcoding and multi-platform delivery.
World's fastest live sports production and replay workflow
SAM will be demonstrating its LiveTouch system, the world's fastest editing, replay and highlights production workflow on the market today. It combines immediate replay of live events with no-copy editing and post production. LiveTouch offers easy and familiar operations and the ability to scale to meet HD and UHD productions of any size. It is also tightly integrated with SAM editors, enabling instant collaboration between replay and production. Users can also instantly publish highlights and replays straight to social media by using SAM's Momentum workflow technology.
