Desde mediados de los a os ochenta hasta ahora, los flujos de trabajo sin cinta o basados en archivos han pasado de ser una aplicaci n de nicho de gama alta y costosa a ser la soluci n predeterminada para la producci n y difusi n profesional de video. Qu ser lo siguiente?
En NAB 2017 los flujos de trabajo h bridos basados en la nube tendr n un protagonismo especial en este gran salto y ser una oportunidad nica para anticiparse a lo que aportar el control de calidad en entornos en nube.
Desde una perspectiva empresarial, muchas empresas prefieren pagar gastos operativos mensuales en lugar de una gran inversi n inicial para servidores, almacenamiento y equipos de red. La administraci n y el mantenimiento permanentes est n incluidos en esas tarifas OPEX en lugar de requerir experiencia en IT internamente. Es m s f cil crecer (y volver atr s) seg n la demanda debido a los requisitos cambiantes de capacidad, como puede suceder cuando los proyectos grandes comienzan y terminan.
Desde una perspectiva t cnica, algunas funciones de flujo de trabajo de v deo usan la nube como se muestra en la siguiente ilustraci n. Los servicios de transmisi n de v deo utilizan redes de distribuci n de contenido (CDN) para llegar al espectador final. Adem s, como la mayor a de las arquitecturas ABR utilizan m ltiples versiones de cada programa (con una gama de resoluciones de imagen y velocidades de bits), a menudo tiene sentido realizar la transcodificaci n del master a cada resoluci n en la nube en lugar de transcodificar localmente y subir todas las diferentes resoluciones a la nube.
Los flujos de trabajo de video se pueden implementar parcial o totalmente utilizando computaci n y almacenamiento basados en la nube.

Aurora est actualmente disponible en AWS Marketplace de Amazon, pero puede ampliarse a terceros como Microsoft Azure Media Services y sus propios entornos cloud.
