NEWS | Vinten nutures new talent with Charles Sturt University scholarship

Vinten has revealed the recipients of this year's Vinten Scholarship at the prestigious Charles Sturt University (CSU) in News South Wales, Australia.

Vinten has provided scholarship funding to the Charles Sturt University Trust for the last twelve years, helping a multitude of creative industries students to build successful careers in the broadcast arena. Amber Technology, Vinten's Australian partner, also supports the scheme, and has made regular contributions to the university during a seven year period.

The two deserving students for this year, Ethan Borle and Jamie Nelson, have received scholarships to attend the industry recognised Bachelor of Arts course in Television Production. The degree course, focused on gaining hands-on experience using a range of industry standard equipment, will take place at the University's Wagga Wagga campus.

Students' practical skills are honed in the university's well-equipped studio which is stocked with a range of Vinten's renowned products including eight pedestals, seven Vision pan and tilt heads and two heavy duty dollies and spreaders. One of Vinten's studio camera pedestals is used as part of the scholarship assessment process to test students on both their knowledge and competency. Amber Technology also provides its support by loaning a range of equipment to scholars on the course, as well as a back-up service, and a mentoring scheme for students.

The Vinten scholarships are awarded annually during the CSU Foundation Scholarship Season, the official ceremony took place on the Wagga Wagga campus on 29 May.
