ViBE CP6000 Contribution Platform

The ViBE CP6000 is a dedicated multi-format, high-performance platform for contribution of live video. With the products modular implementation of the optimal MPEG-4 contribution codecs, an unprecedented eight HD channels per 1RU chassis, and industry-leading compression performance, the ViBE CP6000 is a substantial advance for contribution applications. MPEG-4 and MPEG-2 codecs can be enabled as required with software licensing, and the high-density support simplifies infrastructure and saves energy costs.

ViBE EM4000 Multi-channel HD Encoder

The versatile ViBE EM4000 HD encoder represents the benchmark for multi-channel HD or SD encoding, making it ideal for premium broadcast services. The EM4000 leverages Thomson Video Networks Mustang 2.0 compression technology to deliver efficiency improvements of 20 percent or more when encoding in MPEG-4 AVC, freeing up bandwidth that can be used to broadcast an extra channel per multiplex or transponder. For upgrading SD channels to HD, the ViBE EM4000 can encode up to eight HD or SD channels in a single RU, and includes built-in statistical multiplexing for optimal bandwidth efficiency. Like all members of the ViBE EM series, the EM4000 now includes automatic loudness control to comply with international standards such as the U.S. CALM Act, ITU BS.1770, and EBU R128 and features built-in teletext-to-DVB subtitling capabilities.
