Vonetize launches global channels on Toshiba smart TVs

Seven VoD themed channels from VoD service Vonetize will be featured on Toshiba smart TVs in countries across Europe. According to Digital TV Research, online services' subscription revenues across Europe are set to reach about $12.9 billion by 2020, up from $1.2 billion in 2014.

Vonetize provides turnkey VoD services and technology solutions that pair content with connected devices, and is already distributing video content to millions of viewers worldwide. With the launch of these channels on Toshiba devices in Europe, Vonetize aims to further its goal of providing the missing link in the VoD supply chain between content owners, device manufacturers and consumers wanting quality content on-demand.

We're excited to work with a prestigious device-manufacturer like Toshiba on delivering top-tier content to viewers in Europe, commented Vonetize CEO Noam Josephides. Partnering with Toshiba is a natural step for us, as we are committed to making great video content accessible through smart devices in global markets, and they are a leading supplier of smart TVs worldwide.

Toshiba Europe is delighted to introduce Vonetize services in our smart TVs, added Olivier Van Wynendaele, head of TV cloud services at Toshiba. Their variety of thematic apps offers our consumers access to content of high interest that you can't find easily or so conveniently packaged on linear television. They are a perfect complement indeed.

Toshiba Smart TV owners will now be able to watch content on seven of Vonetize's global channels the Bollywood HD Movie Channel, Baby Channel, ChefTV, Planet Knowledge, Total Music, celebrity news channel SCOOP! and Latin telenovela channel Coraz n.
