BT-Sport Chooses Matrix KVM Switch to Enable Highly Flexible Tapele Workflow

AIT Partnership Group Ltd, the leading UK integrator of matrix KVM switching, today announced it had provided consulting services and the Matrix KVM Switch solution used in the new BT Sport broadcast centre in East London.

The Matrix KVM Switch connects all video services within the broadcast centre. Part of the former International Broadcast Centre of the London Olympics, BT Sports broadcast centre includes three studios, production galleries, 20 editing suites, 200 producer desktops, a control room and a central equipment room which houses all the computing resources.

From the outset BT Sport was clear on their objectives to deploy a system that would allow complete flexibility to interconnect hundreds of workstations throughout the building to banks of remotely-located electronic equipment, explained Ian Martin, Broadcast Solution Consultant for AIT Partnership Group Limited.

IHSE KVM matrix switches provide the critical central data switching functionality.
