Monster Energy Supercross: The GoPro Saga Continues

January 3rd, 2015 marks the return of the one of the most intense racing series on Earth. The Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series attracts the most gifted, athletic motocross racers in the world to battle on a technical, fast track inside stadiums across the U.S. GoPro has teamed up with FELD Motorsports, the series promoter, to enhance the experience for the racer and the fans that cheer for them.

For 2015, GoPro will continue its title as official camera of the Monster Energy Supercross, as well as the official technical supplier of the race series. As technical supplier, GoPro offers its cameras and equipment to any racer, regardless of sponsorship, to run during practice, qualifying, and racing, so they may review their laps to learn the track and its strong and weak points.

In addition to its official partnership with FELD and Monster Energy Supercross, GoPro is proud to have official GoPro athletes Davi Millsaps (above right) and Ken Roczen (center) line up on the gate as they vie for a premier 450 class championship. Millsaps, now the marquee racer for the Monster Energy Kawasaki team, hopes to carry momentum from his recent win at the Monster Energy Cup earlier this Fall into the first round of Supercross. Arguably in the best shape of his professional career, Millsaps has found a comfortable home under the Kawasaki tent, and will be surely contending for podium spots and race wins throughout the season. A family man with deep roots in the sport, Millsaps has found himself in a different roll as a father in addition to racer. The video below provides a glimpse into the Millsaps world. Millsaps fellow GoPro athlete Ken Roczen, the young German superstar, also finds himself on a new bike with a new team. For the first time, K-Roc will line up at Anaheim aboard a Suzuki RM-Z450 for the RCH Suzuki team, helmed by co-owners Carey Hart and Ricky Carmichael. Roczen started his racing career aboard the yellow bikes, but has been racing for the factory KTM team since he came across the pond to compete in the U.S. GoPro will be alongside its athletes cheering them on as they line up inside Angel Stadium this weekend.
