Sky Broadband launches new FTTP service

Available with Sky Broadband Superfast and Sky Broadband Ultrafast

Sky Broadband Ultrafast offers average speeds of up to 145Mbps, 12x faster than standard (DSL) broadband

Sky Broadband is launching a new Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) service; using the latest fibre optic technology to deliver Sky Broadband Superfast and Ultrafast customers our fastest and most reliable broadband service yet.

Over 3 million UK homes now have access to this new technology, and this will increase rapidly as 31,000 new homes are added each week, meaning Sky Broadband Ultrafast with our fastest speeds will be available in 7.3 million households by March 2021.

New and existing customers in FTTP areas can benefit from our fastest speeds and most reliable connection with Sky Broadband Ultrafast:

Get an average download speed of 145Mpbs, with no usage caps

Say goodbye to buffering and stream the latest entertainment, movies and TV seamlessly

Have an edge while gaming online with an incredible average upload speed of 27Mpbs

Do all this at the same time, on more devices, without the fear of your connection slowing down, great for working from home

Pricing and availability

Stream, game, work and download as much as you want with totally unlimited broadband and get our Speed Guarantee as standard with Sky Broadband Superfast or Ultrafast. If your speed falls below your minimum guaranteed speed, you can claim a month's subscription fee back.

Sky Broadband Superfast is available for £27 per month on an 18-month contract, with an average download speed of 59Mbps. Sky Broadband Ultrafast is currently available for £35 per month on an 18-month contract with an average download speed of 145Mbps.

Where FTTP is not available, SO GEA and FTTC connections are used to achieve Superfast speeds - connecting 28.9million households. G.Fast connections are used to achieve Ultrafast speeds where FTTP is not available - connecting 2.8m households.

A small number of households in FTTP areas aren't currently able to upgrade to FTTP but will be added as soon as possible.
