RT took home Torcs in the current affairs, history, live music, single documentary, and drama series categories at the 2024 CMF, which was held in Cardiff in Wales. Viva Mary won the prestigious Spirit of the Festival award.

Meanwhile, Newquay in Cornwall was announced as the location for the 46th Celtic Media Festival in 2025, while ine Walsh, the Head of the Irish Language Broadcast Fund at Northern Ireland Screen, was announced as the new Chair of the Celtic Media Festival. She succeeds Alan Esslemont, Director General of TG4, who has successfully led consecutive sold-out festivals over the past five years.
