Service industry in Jiangbei ushers in a new era

The first phase of the Metro Line No.2 will be put into use soon. As the first subway line to run through the Jiangbei District, nine out of the 22 stations being in the district, it connects all the business circles around. The opening of the Metro Line No.2 marks the coming of the real metro era of Jiangbei District, bringing new engine for the modern service industry in the district.

Activating catering economy

The extension of the rail transit enlarges the citizens life circle, especially for the college students. The Metro Line No.2 connects Ningbo University with the central waterfront area, leading to a brisk "youth consumption", which is becoming a major consumption force nowadays.

With the opening of the line, the Underground Food Court of the Raffles Plaza is connected with the underground passage of the old Bund Bridge Station. At the metro square of the Raffles Plaza, a group of stores are under decoration for upgrading and will be open to business in October. "Paris Baguette", located only 20 meters away from the metro exit, has become a "hot shop". According to the sales assistant, the shop owner chose the location with the consideration of the opening of the metro line. The Raffles Plaza has been well prepared for the coming new business opportunities.

Strengthening building economy

With regard to modern business offices, the fast and convenient traffic has become one of the most important indexes for office building projects. The opening of the metro line will play a great promotion role for the urban business office. With the line, the value of the high-end office buildings in the Diamond Business Plaza and the Raffles Plaza will be enhanced rapidly.

The prosperity of the "office building economy" will lead to the advance of the modern service industry. Based on the high-end building resources, the core waterfront area has attracted such new service industries as E-business and modern finance. The Nijiayan Station of the Metro Line No.2, two stations away from the Old Bund Bridge Station, will soon be completed. A large number of citizens always come to have a walk around the Sunlake Park. With the convenient traffic, the increasing number of tourists will bring more opportunities for the wedding service industry at the Wedding Square. On the other bank of the lake, the Sunlake Center is now inviting business, based on its superior geographic location and traffic conditions.

Lighting "moonlight economy"

Over the past few years, Jiangbei District has made great efforts to build the Old Bund as a "moonlight economy" front. On the one hand, it has launched the northward extension project to provide a wider space and greater support for the leisure culture and industrial development at te Old Bund area. On the other hand, based on the existing block, it has improved the hardware equipment and launched a series of brand cultural activities. With the opening of the Metro Line No.2, the Old Bund has become an important spot along the line, and its "moonlight economy" is sure to flourish.
