Fantasy becomes reality with Nu Metro Cinemas confirming that the record-breaking

blockbuster, IT, will be showing for one week only in their multi-sensory 4DX theatres from this Friday, 15 September 2017.

Horror makes a triumphant return to the big screen, and is now set to thrill South

Africa with a unique 4DX experience - providing chilling, fully immersive, almost-real

experiences of IT in-cinema.

4DX is a cinematic experience unmatched by other entertainment offerings found in

South Africa, and it is exclusive to Nu Metro Cinemas.

Warner Bros IT tells the terrifying tale of Pennywise, the bloodthirsty clown from the pen of popular writer Stephen King; a new cinematic version of the iconic tale, which broke international box office records in the past week (including the US record for Biggest Opening ever for a horror movie, amongst others).

4DX features full-length movies in live action. This is multi-sensory cinema in its

truest form: environmental effects (including moving seats, wind, water, scents,

lightning and fog) synchronised with the action on-screen only at Nu Metro.

Signature 4DX effects deployed for IT include rumbling, shaking and floating seat movements to bring the movie to life. 4DX seating at Nu Metro is driven by a

sophisticated, computerised motoring system in each seat, allowing for realistic

movement simulations tailor-made for scenes on water or where objects are floating

through the air.

IT tells the story of seven young outcasts in Derry, Maine, who are about to face their worst nightmare -- an ancient, shape-shifting evil that emerges from the sewer every 27 years to prey on the towns children. Banding together over the course of one horrifying summer, the friends must overcome their own personal fears to battle the murderous, bloodthirsty clown known as Pennywise (Bill Skarsgard).

4DX takes the horror genre to the next level. The highly anticipated remake of IT is rated by some critics as one of the best horror films of the decade. This new cinematic thrill-ride is filled with jumps, scares, comedy, suspense and so much more.
