The upcoming titles include Disneys Petes Dragon, due out August 12, 2016; Marvels Doctor Strange, due out November 4, 2016; Disneys Moana, due out November 23, 2016; Disneys Beauty and the Beast, due out March 17, 2017; Marvels Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, due out May 5, 2017; Disneys Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, due out May 26, 2017; and Disney Pixars Cars 3, due out June 16, 2017.

This announcement marks a major milestone, as Disney Pixars Cars 3 is the 50th title announced to be color-graded in Dolby Vision and mixed in Dolby Atmos for Dolby Cinema in just over a year. Dolby Cinema launched with its first titles, Disneys Tomorrowland and Disney Pixars Inside Out, in 2015.

Dolby and Disney have had many industry firsts together, including bringing the advancement of Dolby Atmos sound to audiences with Disney Pixars Brave and the spectacular image of Dolby Vision last year. These groundbreaking technologies take the theatrical moviegoing experience to the next level, said Jeff Miller, President, Studio Operations, The Walt Disney Studios. Its very suiting that Disney was the first Dolby Atmos release, the first Dolby Vision release and now the 50th title to utilize both technologies.

To date, The Walt Disney Studios has announced or released 17 titles for Dolby Cinema, including The Good Dinosaur, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Zootopia, The Jungle Book, Captain America: Civil War, Alice Through the Looking Glass, Finding Dory and The BFG.

Dolby Cinema enables richer and more detailed storytelling through Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
