Asura Vettai, supernatural series and Ippadikku Ila, comedy series premieres on 1 February

All Astro customers can enjoy two premiering local Tamil series on 1 February 2021: Asura Vettai on Astro Vinmeen HD (Ch 231), and Ippadikku Ila on Astro Vaanavil HD (Ch 201).

Directed by local filmmaker, SD Puvanendran from film Aasaan', Asura Vettai is a 20-episode supernatural series starring popular local talents including Harridass, Sangeeta Krishnasamy, Bhanumathi and Vemmana Appanah. Asura Vettai is also the debut series for Harridass and Sangeeta Krishnasamy. This gripping story revolves around Silva, a forensic investigator who finds himself being contacted by the dead through the crime videos he recorded. His life begins to fall apart when his loving wife becomes increasingly distant, and a series of linked, suspicious murders take up his time at work. Each murder and footage become more haunting, and eventually, Silva finds that he can no longer ignore them'. Customers can enjoy Asura Vettai at 9pm, Mondays to Fridays on Astro Vinmeen HD (Ch 231).

In addition, customers can look forward to Ippadikku Ila, a comedy drama series directed by local talent Athi Baskeran, starring Haarintraa Nantha Kumar, Danesh Reubben Alagarasu, Sashwin Chandrasegaran, Yuvaraj Krishnasamy, K. Prakash and Kirana Ramachandran. This hilarious 13-episode series is the debut series for director, Athi Baskeran. The story revolves around Ilakkiyan, a kid from the 1990's whose innocence, curiosity, and mischievousness results in him constantly getting in trouble him with his mother with his father always coming to his defense. Residing in a flat in the Bandar Sunway suburb, the story narrates Ila's life at three different stages, with each stage depicting the nostalgic 90's era while exploring Ila's relationship with his parents. Watch Ippadikku Ila at 8pm, every Monday to Thursday on Astro Vaanavil HD (Ch 201).
