The Madrid Film Festival announces the 75 national works in competition Under the motto the film knocks down walls. See our emerging cinema , the Edition number 26 of the Madrid Film Festival continues taking shape until his coming-out from 12 to 24 October.

The Madrid Film Festival, organized by the new directors platform announces the 75 national works selected from among the nearly thousand submitted since last April the registration period is open until June 5.

The selection of the finalists has been in charge of the respective selection committees which have appreciated, independently, the quality of the same along with aspects such as the exploration of new narrative forms and review of themes, genres and formats, among other criteria. Selected national works will compete next October in their four corresponding category, with a total of 6 feature films and 25 officers short, and joined that 6 long and 38 short sections of NRP partners.

The festival has given also unveiled the official poster of this 26th Edition, made by the designer Paco Cavero under the slogan The film breaks down walls. See our movies popup. The poster reflects it is the main hallmark of the festival since its founding: A pop-up cinema accessible to all. And is that year after year the FCM-PNR deepens as one of the main circuits of the Madrid exhibition: "pop-up cinema has very difficult production and display windows, but never eyebrow in his effort to be seen, either short or long. And there are the recent successes of Spanish Cinema short level and level new authors... sweeping, tearing down walls", indicate the organization.

The works can be seen in various locations, most already usual in the contest, as the Berlanga Hall of Foundation SGAE, Cineteca of slaughterhouse, Artistic Metropol, the Dor cinema, the Conde Duque Cultural Center or the Academy of cinema, also accompanied by other offices University and training, as the Faculty of Sciences of the information of the University Complutense, Madrid Campus of the URJC, the school EFTI and the ECAM school.

In addition, for the first time festival will have Telemadrid and M21 Radio as official media for the dissemination of programming between the public and the capital of the community of Madrid.
