FIFA FUTSAL World Cup 0 in ailand

While the Brazilian Futsal team scored the final winning goal in the last few minutes against Spain to win for a 2nd time in a row the title of FIFA Futsal World Cup 2012 Champions, more than one year of work came to an end for Broadcast Facilities provider Presteigne Charter, Thai sports agency Adamas, FIFA TV and HBS.

For over a year, the parties worked closely together to provide FIFA with high end coverage of 52 Futsal World Cup matches. Some spectacular Fustal was shown around the world over two-and-a-half weeks from the cities of Bangkok and Korat.

Presteigne Charter worked in close cooperation with the local rights holder, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and also with FIFA TV and HBS France to provide a high degree of production coverage of this year's FIFA Futsal World Cup Thailand 2012.

'Not only did Presteigne Charter provide the technical facilities of over 40 cameras, 16 EVS's and a number of Super Slow Motion Cameras, as well as building the technical facilities for the IBCC, we also brought in production teams from Thailand and Malaysia to provide the actual production coverage at two of the stadiums, while one stadium was covered by local rights holder MCOT Channel 9, using all of Presteigne Charter's equipment.''

A total of 120 staff worked endlessly to provide the World Feed coverage from three stadia with over 120 hours of live Futsal coverage being produced by the team. The live games were followed by a daily highlight program of 24 minutes, which was also produced by the Presteigne Charter editorial team, with Quality Control Producers from HBS, in a fully integrated editing solution.

Editors were immediately able to edit all the incoming live matches at high speed for a fast turn-around of the highlights package.

The newly integrated communications systems were put in place by Presteigne Charter for HBS quality control producers to communicate directly with its Broadcast Venue Managers at the pitch across the different stadia including in Korat over 200km away from the IBCC in Bangkok.

The competition introduced numerous new features with overhead coverage of the match play with a remote pan and tilt camera on a Sony P1 with wide angle lens, to provide for the first time in Futsal history a clear overview of the field of play. The new camera position introduced by HBS for this year's FIFA Futsal World Cup provided some clear new angles to make the coverage of FUTSAL even more exciting.
