Using mDialogs Technology, New Akamai Sola Ad Integration Services Will Enable Cloud-Based Targeted Video Advertising on Linear, Live and On-Demand Content Across Connected Devices
TORONTO, ON FEBRUARY 19, 2013 mDialog, the leader in video stream management across connected devices, today announced that the mDialog Smart Stream Video Platform technology is a core element powering dynamic ad insertion in Akamai Technologies new Ad Integration Services offering. Announced today, Sola Ad Integration Services, a new offering in the Sola Vision media workflow portfolio, is designed to help media companies reach, monetize and measure their desired audiences across the widest range of connected devices with 1-to-1 addressable advertising within linear, live and on-demand programming.
Sola Ad Integration Services dynamically inserts and measures targeted ads into linear, live and on-demand video content on the Akamai Intelligent Platform for delivery to any internet-connected screen. Using mDialog's cloud-based dynamic ad-insertion technology, Sola Ad Integration Services also gives media companies the ability to maintain their existing video infrastructure and workflow, thanks to its standards-based architecture.

By shifting the complexities of online video ad insertion from the player to the cloud, mDialog's Smart Stream Platform removes many of the limitations associated with traditional player-based ad delivery. The Smart Stream Platform uses a lightweight stream SDK to ensure accurate Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) compliant measurement beaconing, and supports interactive video ads and ad-skipping prevention in order to deliver a seamless TV-quality viewing experience across devices.
