Unterf hring, June 8, 2015 - The ProSiebenSat.1 Accelerator, the support program for startups, is being reorganized and expanded. In the future, each participating startup will receive TV ad time worth 500,000 which it can use on ProSiebenSat.1s channels. In addition, an exclusive network of venture capitalists (b-to-v, Earlybird, e.ventures, Lakestar, Holtzbrinck Ventures) will support the selection of startups and the coaching in the future.

All the current benefits will remain in place, such as 25,000 of startup financing and a comprehensive mentoring program. ProSiebenSat.1 will receive a variable interest in the company in return. This shifts the programs focus more towards consumer startups whose business is already more developed and which want to accelerate their growth with TV advertising.

By reorienting the Accelerator we are deploying our core competence in the form of marketing power, which accentuates the profile of the program. We are also bringing the ProSiebenSat.1 Accelerator closer to our existing investment units and our venture capital partners to make follow-up financing possible, says Dr. Christian Wegner, Member of the Executive Board at ProSiebenSat.1.

Providing sustainable support to entrepreneurs and startups and equipping them for a successful start in the market was the goal when the ProSiebenSat.1 Accelerator began in 2013 as one of the first programs of its kind in Germany. Thirty startups have now gone through the Accelerator and experienced rapid growth with support from ProSiebenSat.1. Companies can now apply for the next round, which starts in September 2015, at www.P7S1Accelerator.com. Up to five startups per half-year can qualify and count on extensive benefits and support.
