Strictly Come Pole' Dancing star Layton Williams has defended their dance routine for a 2023 episode of the popular television show, after facing criticism from some fans of the show who found the dance routine to be crude and inappropriate for mainstream viewing.

The star is the celebrity' part of the dance competition, partnered up with Nikita Kuzman.

Williams is known for starring in the television show Bad Education, though his stint on the reality dance competition is the latest addition to his portfolio.

Layton's latest dance has triggered some controversy, owing to the pole dance routine on the latest episode.

What is it? According to the website Merriam-Webster, the performance art is defined as usually solo dancing performed while using a fixed vertical pole as a prop.'

For many people it is seen as a form of entertainment - but for many other people pole dancing is a form of exercise instead.

Many celebrities have endorsed pole dancing, including Madonna and now actor and dancer Layton Williams.

Pole dancing: a form of exercise According to medical studies about this exercise form, this could burn as much as 280 kilocalories per minute.
