Unified Streaming, a leader in smart video streaming technologies, announces that its Unified Remix VOD2Live solution is powering HYMN, a new digital-first event streaming service for music fans.
HYMN is a digital theatre designed to give music lovers a new concert experience. The theatre broadcasts live performances and originals. The most meaningful artists get the stage to deliver their ode to their audiences across the world.The shows are created in collaboration with world-class production teams that have worked with artists such as Coldplay, U2, Taylor Swift, and The Rolling Stones, and major online fashion shows for Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, and Versace. The first event, on June 9th 2021, featured Davina Michelle, a Dutch pop star with multiple no.1 hits to her name. Fans across 31 countries tuned in to watch the show live after securing their tickets in advance, just like they would for an in-person event.The streaming quality is also world-class and supports Full HD HDR.
The Davina Michelle: Find Your Voice show was one of the first OTT services to use Unified Streaming's innovative Remix VOD2Live solution, which enables streaming providers to bring new life to their VOD content by playing it out as a linear channel, live event, or even as a movie premier. Remix VOD2Live replicates the seamless, lean-back TV experience that viewers have enjoyed for decades - smooth, reliable and glitch-free. It works by using highly dynamic streaming playlists, as opposed to video files, which make it far easier to stitch content together to create a new channel.
