NTP Technology introduces new DAD Pro | Mon | 3monitor control software for the AX32 audio routing and converter interfaceswith the MOM hardware controller and a speaker correction processor up-to afull 64 channel Dolby Atmos set-up.

Pro | Mon | 3 is a complete audio monitor controlsolution that offers stand-alone monitor control functionality and speakerprocessing covering a wide range of functionality for music recording studios,location music recording, as well as post production environments of any sizeand type. The Pro | Mon | 3 license can be experienced first hand at AES2017 in New York at the DAD/NTP Technology booth (#331) from October 18th to 20th.

With the new Version 3, DAD takes monitor control as an integrated part of itsAX32 and DX32 units to a whole new level and via the new desktop MonitorControl Unit - MOM with layered control functionality, the operation can beeasily managed at the work space. By adding the new SPQ | Speaker Processorcard to the AX32, 128 channels with 1024 filters can be allocated to theoutputs of Pro Mon, all with a 56bit floating point calculation precision,giving at filter dynamic range of > 130dB.

When adding the Pro | Mon | 3 license, a wide range of additional monitoringcontrol features are added to the DADman software, enabling AX32/DX32 tooperate as a powerful processor with full control of signal routing, controlroom speaker levels and monitor cues in any channel format including stereo,5.1, 7.1.4, Dolby Atmos and other 3D and immersive audio formats. The controland configuration is managed by the new DADman 5.1 software, which also servesas a control center enabling devices compliant with Avid Eucon or MIDI tooperate the monitor functions.

Multiple monitors and cue outputs in various channel formats can be configuredand controlled from one or more hardware MOM's (Monitor OperatingModule) with individual cue mix functionality and dedicated monitormixing, adjustable parameters include level, pan, cut, mute and even downmixfrom, for example, for a 7.1 multichannel format. All setting and configurationcan be saved and recalled, allowing monitor configurations to be changedquickly and easily.

In short, when combining theflexible routing, processing and control surface options with the ability toquickly save and recall setting, you essentially get a centerpiece that allowsyou to switch fast and efficiently between various workflows. Potentially, thiscan save significant amounts of valuable production time, says DAD Sales Director Mikael Vest.

Further,Pro | Mon | 3 and DADman 5.2 support 64 bit Apple OS X and Microsoft Windowswhich gives a more responsive feel. It also provides full compatibility withthe Avid Eucon 64 bit protocol which we have adopted as a Eucon connectivitypartner.

Most of the Pro | Mon | 2 controls are available via Eucon and can beconfigured in detail on Eucon-enabled control surfaces such as the Avid S6,Avid S3, Avid Pro Tools Dock and the Pro Tools Control iPad app for wirelesscue mix and monitor control. Also, standard MIDI controller devices can serveas controls, as well a 3rd part controllers from TAC Systems and CBElectronics.
