Sundance Tv announces the IV Edition of its competition of short films Sundance Tv Shorts Competition rewards the brightest short films internationally. The winning part of the grand jury prize will be issued internationally in the channel and the Sundance Film Festival in London film festival.

SundanceTV presents, for the fourth consecutive year, the contest SundanceTV Shorts Competition 2017, a contest that rewards the brightest short films internationally. The nominations will opt to the Vimeo audience award and the grand jury prize. As a novelty in this Edition, the contest opens the category best Web series, an exclusive section for Spain, which will award the best fiction for the Internet and in which the contestants will have to present the pilot episode of his series digital. One more year, Movistar +, frames and the Union of screenwriters soul join SundanceTV as collaborators of the contest.

From March 13 to April 14, may submit short films and websodios in the Web of the contest. The works must be sent directly by the producer or the director, who must be resident in Spain. Candidates, both short films and the pilot episodes of the web series, may not exceed 15 minutes in duration and must be in English or with English subtitles. The categories of the grand jury prize and best Web series will appreciate the creativity, entertainment, the originality of the story and production. The jury, which will be chaired by Mike Plante of the Sundance Institute, counts with the participation of Harold Gronenthal, Global SundanceTV, and Ram n Verdet, Head of Creative Services of AMC Networks International Iberia. In addition, will also participate in Sonia Salas, Manager of Series Premium of Movistar +; Pere Vall frame; the director and screenwriter Borja Cobeaga by the Trade Union of screenwriters soul; and Jeff Hurlow Vimeo. The winner of the Grand Prize of the jury will travel to the Sundance Film Festival: London in June along with a companion to attend the screening of his short film. Also, best Web series of the contest winner will receive a prize valued at 4,000 euros to continue the production of their digital fiction.

On the other hand, from April 24 to May 1, the votes of independent film fans, made online through the official website of the contest, will decide the Vimeo audience award winner.
