Afrikaans is one of South Africa's beautiful languages, and there's just as much cool music in this language as you can find in isiZulu or isiXhosa.

But for every good song in Afrikaans, there are quite a few tracks that have gone viral for just being interpreted as bad, terrible, or doing more damage than good to the dancefloor.
Here are some songs that didn't stand the test of time, and tracks that people just won't be dancing to soon.

Afrikaans: Wil jy of wil jy nie? (Berril von Amburg) Berril von Amburg hoped to start a music career by posting one of her songs online, but didn't expect that the song would go viral for its bizarre feel and odd lyrics.
The title of this Afrikaans song translates to, Do you want to or not?'

Most of the song features Berril looking very intense.

Yes, she released more songs after this, though it's this gem that made the Afrikaans singer famous.
Kielie my voete (Gerhard Steyn) Gerhard Steyn is an Afrikaans singer who became famous on the dancefloor for the song Baby Tjoklits, but before this he released other songs that didn't take off.

This one is a happy-go-lucky song Asking a woman to tickle his feet' in playful jest.

Afrikaans: Kaalvoet Sokkie (Kurt Darren) The title of this song translates to Barefoot Sokkie', with the sokkie' meaning sock - but also a type of dance that has become part of South African culture. While Kurt Darren has many South African hits' or treffers', this track might not be one of them.
