Ice and Fire, Adam Aliaga (Alicante, 1969) and Alfonso Amador (Madrid, 1968) has won the XIII SGAE Prize Guion Julio Alejandro, who organizes the SGAE Foundation, which has made public the decision today Wednesday, November 30. In Ice and Fire, Isa es una inmigrante espa ola en Estados Unidos que estudia interpretaci n en Nueva York. ltimamente las cosas no van bien. Su comportamiento autodestructivo est convirtiendo su sue o de ser actriz en una pesadilla de la que no puede escapar. Es incapaz de gestionar sus emociones, sin saber que detr s de ese comportamiento inexplicable se esconde un trastorno l mite de personalidad.
American indie influence
La idea de escribir este guion surgi mientras Ad n estaba haciendo el casting en Nueva York para su cortometraje The Walker. All conoci a muchos actores y actrices espa oles que hab an dejado todo y se hab an ido all persiguiendo su sue o , explica Alfonso Amador. Por su parte, Ad n Aliaga a ade que nos hemos dejado poseer un poco por el esp ritu del cine indie americano desde John Cassavetes hasta Noah Baumbach .
La trayectoria profesional de Ad n Aliaga ha sido reconocida en el circuito internacional de festivales. Sus seis largometrajes han sido premiados en la Seminci, el Festival de Cine de M laga o el Festival PNR de Madrid as como en encuentros audiovisuales de ciudades como Chicago, Miami, Taiw n o Toronto. Por su parte, el trabajo del director y guionista Alfonso Amador tambi n ha sido aplaudido en todo el mundo. Entre sus pel culas: El presente (Premio Villa de Madrid 1995), 9,8 m/s2 (Selecci n Oficial Festival de Cannes 1998), Todo lo que necesitas para hacer una pel cula (Mejor Pel cula Festival de Vitoria 2002) o 50 d as de mayo (ensayo para una revoluci n) (Caracola Alcances Mejor Largometraje Documental 2012).

El jurado del XIII Premio SGAE de Guion Julio Alejandro ha estado formado por los cineastas Daniela Fejerman (en representaci n de Asociaci n de Mujeres Cineastas y de Medios Audiovisuales -CIMA-), Silvia Munt, Sigfrid Monle n e Imanol Uribe; los guionistas Rodolf Giner (en representaci n de FAGA -Foro de Asociaciones de Guionistas Audiovisuales-), Alberto Mac as y David Planell (en representaci n de ALMA -Sindicato de Guionistas de Espa a-); y la productora Teresa Fern ndez Cuesta.
A key figure and unknown
The Foundation SGAE claimed this award figure of the Aragonese writer Julio Alejandro, a character little known among the general public but decisive responsible for works in the history of Spanish cinema.
