IBC Conference Stand 7.F11 -- AJA Video Systems today announced that EVS, a leading manufacturer of solutions for live production and broadcast, has joined AJAs family of developer partners. EVS will offer integrated support for a range of AJA products, including Corvid Ultra and the just-announced TruZoom software.
Corvid Ultra is an external 2RU chassis designed for mission-critical high bandwidth applications including 4K and stereoscopic workflows. Featuring AJAs TruScale arbitrary scaler, Corvid Ultra can easily adapt to the specific needs of any application, supporting 4K/UHD and 2K/HD/Dual-link/SD workflows. TruScale is real-time and keyframeable, meaning scaling parameters can be changed on a frame-by-frame basis, allowing real-time "zoom effects while maintaining pristine image quality. Corvid Ultra can produce multiple scaled resolutions, including 1080p output from 4K and UltraHD sources.
Announced today at the IBC Conference, AJAs TruZoom software, in combination with Corvid Ultra and TruScale hardware, allows customers to scale any 16:9 region within 4K frames to HD in realtime, making it ideal for sports broadcast, live event production, professional AV, and digital film. TruZoom has already been field tested by MLB Network, achieving seamless scalability and clarity for replays live on-air.
EVS is a global leader of live production systems including instant replay, slow motion and fast editing solutions based on advanced servers, controllers and software tools used by over 8,000 operators worldwide. EVS will integrate AJAs Corvid Ultra and TruZoom into their new 4K XT3 server systems, offering customized implementation and UI for users.
