IBC 2026: FOR-A to Demonstrate Production and Processing Solutions

FOR-A will showcase a range of broadcast and production products at IBC2026 (Stand 2.B53, Amsterdam RAI, September 11-14), including software-based switching, AI-powered cropping, hybrid signal processing, and live production tools.

MixBoard, a software-based switcher powered by ClassX, combines audio and video mixing with the ability to generate cropped versions for different aspect ratios and stream outputs in multiple formats. IBC2026 will mark the first showing of MixBoard's PTZ camera control capabilities.

viztrick AiDi is an on-device AI solution developed by Nippon TV and delivered globally by FOR-A, powered by NVIDIA AI infrastructure. Its GoVertical! AiDi application provides real-time AI-assisted 9:16 autocropping for social media, keeping action centered for vertical viewing. Other applications include player tracking and object recognition. The solution operates entirely on-device without relying on internet connectivity.

The FA-1616 is a software-defined digital video processor supporting up to 32 streams across SDI and IP, incorporating up/down conversion, color correction, audio remapping, and timecode generation. It supports conversion between 2K and 4K, SDI and IP, and compressed and uncompressed formats.

Hi-RDS (hierarchical Registration and Discovery System) adds a primary RDS layer that manages nodes across operational layers, simplifying the passing of content between operational areas, vendor technologies, and formats.

FOR-A will also show the latest routing switchers and vision mixers, including additions to the MFR and HVS-Q12 Hanabi families, along with AI updates to the FOR-A IMPULSE live production platform. Dejero will co-exhibit on the stand, bringing in live footage from the TARGA Newfoundland rally in Canada to demonstrate FOR-A graphics and production equipment in a live streaming workflow.
