M dchen erproben ihr Talent und informieren sich ber technische Berufe
Schnuppertage 2014 mit Workshops in der Schaeffler-Ausbildungswerkstatt
Im Rahmen der naturwissenschaftlich/technischen Schnuppertage f r M dchen bieten Schaeffler und die Hochschule f r angewandte Wissenschaften W rzburg-Schweinfurt in den Herbstferien an drei Tagen 66 verschiedene Workshops f r ber 300 Sch lerinnen der 8. bis 12. Jahrgangsstufe an. Dabei k nnen sich die M dchen mit der Welt der Technik vertraut machen und Theorie mit Praxis verbinden. Die Einf hrungsveranstaltung fand in diesem Jahr im Schaeffler-Mitarbeitercasino statt. Nach zwei Tagen in der Ausbildungswerkstatt bei Schaeffler geht es f r die Teilnehmerinnen dann an die Hochschule f r angewandte Wissenschaften W rzburg-Schweinfurt, wo in den Labors ebenfalls ein spannendes Programm wartet.
Neben Ausbildungsleiter Uwe Geisel begr ten Lothar Langer, Personalleiter am Standort Schweinfurt, Prof. Dr. Robert Grebner, Pr sident der Hochschule f r angewandte Wissenschaften W rzburg-Schweinfurt, sowie zwei angehende Mechatronikerinnen aus dem 4. Ausbildungsjahr die jungen Teilnehmerinnen. Nicht nur vor dem Hintergrund des demographischen Wandels ist es sinnvoll und erforderlich, mehr junge Menschen und vor allen Dingen mehr Frauen f r technisch-naturwissenschaftliche Ausbildungen, Studieng ngen und Berufe zu begeistern. Die Schnuppertage sind daf r ein ideales Forum , so Langer.
Bereits seit 2006 kooperiert Schaeffler mit der Hochschule und den Gleichstellungsbeauftragten der Region. Ziel der Schnuppertage ist unter anderem, den Anteil weiblicher Auszubildender in der gewerblich-technischen Ausbildung sowie die Anzahl von Frauen in naturwissenschaftlichen und technischen Studieng ngen zu erh hen.
Technik zum Anfassen und Mitmachen in den Workshops
In der Schaeffler-Ausbildungswerkstatt haben die M dchen die M glichkeit, selbst Hand anzulegen, neue Erfahrungen zu machen, sich von Auszubildenden und Ausbildern Insidertipps abzuholen und einen Blick in den Arbeitsalltag zu werfen. Uwe Geisel, Ausbildungsleiter bei Schaeffler am Standort Schweinfurt, und das Team der Ausbildung haben auch in diesem Jahr wieder ein umfangreiches Angebot zusammengestellt. Wir m chten den Sch lerinnen die Gelegenheit geben, auf spannende und interessante Weise mit technischen Berufen in Kontakt zu kommen. Denn nur so k nnen Vorurteile und ngste gegen ber Technik und Naturwissenschaften abgebaut werden , so Geisel.
Beispielsweise k nnen die M dchen beim Workshop Werdet Herrscherin ber die Luft! erfahren, wie man mit Hilfe von Druckluft Maschinen steuern und Antriebe bewegen kann. K nstlerinnen kommen beim Schwei en einer Figur f r den Garten ganz auf ihre Kosten. Handfest geht es auch beim Kurs Die Heimwerkerin zu, in dem der sachgerechte Umgang mit Bohrmaschine und Stichs ge ge bt wird, w hrend bei Heavy Metal - F r Notizen durch S gen, Feilen und Bohren ein Notizzettelst nder aus Metall entsteht.
