Call for a jury member to attend the BRICS Film Festival in Goa, India

The National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF), and the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture (DSAC) is extending a call to all South African film practitioners to submit applications to serve on the jury of the 6th BRICS Film Festival to be held in Goa, India from 18-28 November 2021. The successful participant will serve as the official South African representative on the jury made up of representatives of the BRICS Member states.

It is envisaged that the judging process will take between 3 and 5 days; informed by the number of screenings per day. All processes will strictly adhere to COVID-19 compliance regulations.

Application Criteria:

South African citizen or permanent resident

Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience and a specialised skills set competency in behind and front of camera work in the film industry

An individual with a valid passport that will be valid for six months after their return

Required documentation:

A motivation that describes the applicant's specific expertise and qualifications related to the criteria above.

A comprehensive Curriculum Vitae.

Copies of ID and Passport.

Opening date for submissions: 27th October 2021

Closing date for submissions: 3rd November 2021

NB: Please note that late applications will not be considered, and no exceptions will be made. Furthermore, no applications will be considered from companies.
